If you’ve been watching any of the big news outlets lately, you know that Obama is dodging scandal after scandal as it’s coming to light more and more that is administration has been up to a lot of illegal activity. I reported earlier this week that the IRS took a very, very close look at the Tea Party’s tax returns, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. From trying to avoid allegation of violating the freedom of the press to downplaying the attacks on Benghazi, the Obama administration has been ducking from scandal after scandal. I’ll try to break down all the news for those of you who don’t know in the simplest way in this article.
Obama’s secrets have started to unveil themselves this week.

First let’s start with the attacks in Benghazi, Libya. While conservatives have been pushing for answers into what exactly caused a U.S. ambassador and others to die because they did not have any security at their consulate, the liberals in the media have been treating the deaths of the men who lost their lives as unimportant. Obama followed suit this week when he and his press secretary referred to questions regarding the incident that happened in September as a “political sideshow”. This is outrageous, and it shows just how far Obama is willing to go to protect his image.
In other Benghazi news, emails were released that showed the White House and other government agencies worried about protecting their image than finding why this happened. While liberals praised Obama for releasing these documents, some conservatives want to see more information on what happened in regards to the incident. This, to me, is unlikely, but we can always hope that the Obama administration will decide to do the right thing and get justice for the men who lost their lives in Benghazi and their families.
Moving on, the Obama administration has been in hot water after it was discovered that they gathered the names and information of reporters who they feared would release information that they wanted kept confidential. Both liberals and conservatives alike have criticized Obama’s administration for going to such extreme lengths to protect its image. After all, reporters from both sides of the aisle were targeted, and it shows that Obama’s democratic administration gives little importance to the freedom of the press. While this has given the Obama administration cause for distress, there’s one last thing that is making Obama’s week one of the worst of his presidency.
That would be the scandal that involves the IRS targeting conservative groups during tax season. Sources within the IRS have admitted that the Tea Party and others were looked over and looked over due to the fact that they were conservative. Rumor has it that top IRS officials will be retiring due to this scandal as one already had bit the dust, and Obama is saying that he had no idea this targeting of conservative groups was going on at the IRS. Nevertheless, it still does not look good for Obama or his administration.
I tell you all these things to make one point. Obama and his administration’s big government policies have spiraled out of control. So much so that they feel that the press has no right to cover legitimate news stories and that the Tea Party and other conservatives should have to fear that they will be singled out for standing up for what they believe in. Is this what we want as a nation though? The answer should be a resounding NO from conservatives and liberals alike. We are a nation of freedom, and Obama is taking these freedoms away from us. So let’s join together in letting Mr. Obama and his administration that we demand answers for why we are having our freedoms taken away so that we can be as free today as we were when this nation was founded.

I think the Benghazi thing has kind of run its course, at least as far as the public is concerned. The emails that Issa has been asking for were finally released, and they’ve proven to be very anti-climactic. It’s clear to the public that Benghazi is more about Clinton 2016 than actually trying to right any wrongs.
The AP thing is a bigger issue but there wasn’t anything illegal done. Hypocritical? Sure. But not “impeachable,” which is what a lot of people seem to be focused on, weirdly.

State Department Whistleblower Threatened, While Liars Clapper and Holder Suffer No Consequences!
The State Department investigator who accused colleagues last week of using drugs, soliciting prostitutes, and having sex with minors says that Foggy Bottom is now engaged in an “intimidation” campaign to stop her.
After the CBS News made inquiries to the State Department about the charges, Schulman says investigators from the State Department’s Inspector General promptly arrived at Fedenisn’s door. “They talked to both kids and never identified themselves,” he said. “First the older brother and then younger daughter, a minor, asking for their mom’s place of work and cell phone number … They camped out for four to five hours.”
Schulman says the purpose of the visit was to get Fedenisn to sign a document admitting that she stole State Department materials, such as the memos leaked to CBS. Schulman says it was crucial that she didn’t sign the document because her separation agreement with the State Department includes a provision allowing disclosures of misconduct. Furthermore, none of the materials were classified.
And there appear to be no criminal consequences on the horizon for Clapper, who flat-out lied to Ron Wyden by answering this question:
Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?
by saying: “No, sir. There are cases where they could inadvertently, perhaps, collect, but not wittingly.” We have now learned that the NSA “wittingly” collects all kinds of data on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans. Wyden knew it, Clapper knew it, Clapper knew Wyden was going to ask the question, and Clapper declined an invitation to revise his answer afterwards.
But Holder and Clapper are a) high-level guys who b) play ball.
So they are giving a pass for blatant lies to Congress, while a woman who followed the law and tried to tell the truth is threatened with prosecution.
P.S. Even if there are no consequences for Holder or Clapper, lies have consequences for the rest of us. It turns out we have Clapper to thank, in no small measure, for Edward Snowden’s revelations. In a recent chat at the Guardian, Snowden said that among the factors that caused him to reveal the existence of the program was . . . Clapper’s blatant lie:

Obama’s agenda already lingers near death. His poll numbers have slipped to new lows. His speeches are full of alibis and accusations.
Obama hasn’t reached the point of no return, but he’s very close. His biggest problem is the collapse of Obamacare on its launching pad as the entire country watched. And there’s worse trouble ahead. More likely than not, Obamacare will be the dominant issue in the final three-plus years of his presidency. From that, there’s no recovery.
Years on defense—impotent years—have beset even the strongest of presidents. Jimmy Carter’s presidency was hardly a powerhouse. Still, it had one shining moment, when the Camp David peace accord between Israel and Egypt was signed in September 1978. What clout Carter had vanished after the “malaise” speech in July 1979. It made him a target of ridicule.
Impeachment in 1998 forced President Clinton into retreat. His popularity remained high, but he abandoned an agenda that included entitlement reform. Every President, every politician, and every human being tells lies and engages in acts of hypocrisy. But Barack Obama does these things to a far greater degree than anyone else that I have ever known of. His campaign promises were so much better sounding than anyone else’s – no lobbyists in his administration, waiting five days before signing all non-emergency bills so people would have time to read them, putting health care negotiations on C-SPAN, reading every bill line by line to make sure money isn’t being wasted, prosecution of Wall St. criminals, ending raids against medical marijuana in states where it’s legal, high levels of transparency. Obama’s promises of these wonderful things sounded inspiring and sincere. They sounded so much better than the promises of any other President. So when Obama broke these promises, it felt so much worse than when other Presidents broke their promises.
In the 2008 United States election, I wrote in Ron Paul for President. In the 2012 election, I voted for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. Those who are of a more leftist persuasion than myself might want to consider voting for the Green Party in future elections.
Some of the things on this list are major events that should scare the daylights out of any true liberal who cares about civil liberties.
Other things on this list are medium things that some Obama supporters may dislike, but would be willing to overlook in light of the things that Obama has done which they like.
And some of the things on this list may seem trivial, but I still think they are an interesting reflection of the kinds of policies that Obama supports.
