Why I LOVE Andrea Tantaros!

The one thing that I admire most about the modern conservative movement is that women are on the forefront of bringing conservative values to the next generation. From familiar faces like Sarah Palin to less recognizable, yet still important, people such as Nonie Darwish and S.E. Cupp, women are leading the charge to keep conservatism around. These women are fearless, and they often speak there minds much more often that men in our movement do. One conservative woman has done this recently, and it has caused quite the backlash in the liberal media.

The woman I am speaking of is Andrea Tantaros, a Fox News personality who is smart, intelligent, and not afraid to stand up for the values she believes in. This week she told listeners to “punch Obama voters in the face” due to the fact that we have had to suffer through more than four years of our rights being infringed upon by Mr. Obama and his administration. While she, of course, did not mean this literally, the liberals in the media jumped all over as if they were hyenas and she was their prey. From the Huffington Post to smaller publications, liberals all over crucified Andrea Tantaros for making a humorous comment about a very serious issue.

After all, Andrea Tantaros had a huge and extremely relevant point. It has recently come out that the Obama administration has been doing many things to violate our rights as Americans. The IRS has been targeting conservative groups simply for being who they are, and journalists can’t even practice their craft without being monitored by authorities. I know it sounds bad, but that’s just the tip of a gigantic iceberg of lies and deceit that has been tarnishing the image of Obama and his presidency. Obama has no one to blame but himself for all of this though due to the fact that he was the one who started to take away the rights of Americans, and this is why Ms. Tantaros became so upset that she made the remarks that she did.

One of her colleagues, James Rosen, was targeted in the grab of journalists’ email and phone records, and this must have hit close to home for Andrea. She, after all, is an outspoken conservative voice, and she could have very easily been in Rosen’s position of being labeled as a “co-conspirator” in espionage if circumstances were different. That’s why, while moronic liberals go about whining about what she said, I feel that she had sufficient reasons to be ticked off and to express her frustration and anger the way that she did. Liberals in the media would do the same thing if such an incident happened to one of their colleagues, and they should take this into consideration before hurling the first stone at Andrea Tantaros.

So that’s why I say good for her. She is standing up for what she believes in, and she is standing up against our freedoms being taken away from us by Obama and others like him on Capitol Hill. She is a true American hero, and she is one in a line of many conservative women who are standing up against tyranny on a day to day basis. That’s why I LOVE Andrea Tantaros.

May God Bless America,

The Generation X Conservative

  1. If by “standing up for what she believes in” you actually mean “mindlessly repeating anti-Obama tropes and ignoring the fact that his predecessor, George W. Bush eroded far more civil liberties than Obama has yet had the chance to do”, then we would be in blissful, harmonious agreement.

Tantaros is really not that smart. Telegenic, yes. Good with a one-liner or a put-down, yes. But a conservative/libertarian intellectual heavyweight? Give me a break.

Many conservatives or Tea Partiers may not realise, but their basic message of limited government would be even more popular if only its supporters could divorce themselves from the birthers, conspiracy theorists (Benghazi) and 12th century social conservatives who plague their movement.

I am a liberal, in the Jeffersonian sense of the word. Small government, maximum freedom. I favor a flat tax and a less imperial foreign policy. And yet I was forced to support Obama over Romney in 2012. Take the steps to fix that problem (repeated millions of times throughout the USA), admit that Obama is only the latest step in a march toward big government that has included Democratic and Republican presidents dating back to Kennedy, and we can talk. But continue to insist that all was sunny and wonderful until the Evil Obama came along, and there’s not much to say.
