Saturday Book Review; The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow By Washington Irving

For today’s book review I decided to do a short story. I’ve been super busy lately, and I realized it’s good to have something shorter to read for times like these. This American classic follows Ichabod Crane as he tries to win the affection of a girl named Katrina against one Abraham Van Brunt.  Not only does Crane have to deal with trying to get Katrina to like him, but he has to deal with the supernatural as Sleepy Hollow, the town in which he lives, is pretty haunted. At the end, luck is not in Crane’s favor as he loses the affections of Katrina, and, to top it all off, he has to deal with the ghost of a headless horseman.

This story is the perfect mix of mystery and drama, and it will have you captivated from the first page. It’s an American classic, and I would recommend it for all ages. Also, it is a short story versus a whole novel so you it’s the perfect remedy to the problem of a busy lifestyle. No matter what though, I highly recommend you go find it at your local book store and give it a read.

May God Bless America And Happy Reading,
