While I’m glad Republicans Voted To End Funding For Obamacare, Obama Reacts In Anger

House Republicans made me proud today as they voted to strip funding for Obama’s socialized health care plan that is set to go into affect this coming January. This occurred in part of a larger bill that is currently being debate as to what the budget in the upcoming year should be for the government. If a decision is not reached by October 1st, the government will be shut down. As many in the nation are urging the House and Senate not to let a shutdown occur, Republicans saw this as their perfect opportunity to try to prevent the government from having more control in its citizens life than they do already.

With the vote passing, the liberal media went into a firestorm. Liberals called conservatives opportunists, and they condemned the bill. Meanwhile, Obama came out and said that he’s pretty much sick of conservatives messing with him. To which I say, we are sick of him messing in our personal lives by forcing health insurance and socialism on us. Nevertheless, the bill will probably be vetoed when it gets to Obama’s desk. In fact, it probably won’t even get past the Senate, but for now I am applauding the Republicans and their bold efforts to end the harmful Obamacare program before it starts.

Poverty Problems: Stagnant Poverty Rates Prove Obama Policies Are Wrong For America

(Image Via http://www.salem-news..com)
Chart from 2010 shows 15 percent poverty rate. Same as today.

If you are listening to media outlets, Americans recession is over. They sight rising stock prices and lowering unemployment rates for their claims that America is seeing a new and more prosperous day. What they are not realizing though is that many Americans have left the workforce and even more have taken a cut in hours or pay. Our economy is far from being healed of the great scars that the 2008 housing market crash along with the following recession caused, but you may not know that by watching the news as of late.

For instance, over the last six years, the poverty rate in America has been about 15 percent. Even as reports emerged that our economy had begun to recover, the number of people living below the poverty line has not changed. While liberals in the media site pay differences between the upper classes and lower classes, the fact is that it is just hyping an agenda. I feel that the problems lies with one issue, and this issue can be traced back to Obama and liberals.

That issue is where our jobs are going. The fact is that our jobs are being shipped overseas because businesses face high taxes and extreme restrictions here in America. To bring business back to America, we need to make it easier for businesses, small business in particular, to thrive here in the U.S.A.  Lowering their taxes and getting rid of some of the unnecessary red tape is the perfect solution to do this.

Instead we pump money into unnecessary and unproductive industries, such as the green movement, while simultaneously making it harder for small businesses in every other industry to thrive. Therefore, no new jobs are created, and this keeps people underemployed and unemployed. If we would bring jobs back to America, especially those that don’t require impoverished people to get hundred thousand dollar degrees (i.e. green movement jobs), we need to invest in manufacturing and industry jobs. If we don’t do this, we will be left wondering why, in another ten or fifteen years, our poverty level is still stagnant or even higher than it is now. If we do do something about the problem though, we may just be able to lower the poverty rate and allow more Americans to go back to work.

Update On Navy Yard Shooter: One Suspect, Aaron Alexis, Allegedly Carried Out Attacks By Himself

While initial reports stated that three men carried out the shooting at a D.C. navy yard that left 12 dead, new reports show their was only one shooter. Aaron Alexis, 34, was thought to have been the one who took the lives of the twelves men and women in D.C. He was a military contractor, and the motive for the shootings is still unknown. I will bring you more information as it emerges.

D.C. Naval Yard Shooting Shows Major Flaw In American Tax Policies

This morning, three gunmen  opened up fire on a naval yard in Washington D.C. The incident took twelves lives and injured others. While President Obama and others called for justice to be served in this senseless crime, the families and loved ones are left to deal with the tragic loss of  a loved one unexpectedly passing away.  While many asked how this could have happened on American soil, the answer, to me, is very simple. You just have to look at the way that we use our tax dollars here in the U.S.

Each year, America pumps millions of dollars into pork projects, abortions, unnecessary vacations for politicians, and other things. While those in Congress work for the political lobbies and interest groups, they neglect the wants and needs of the American people. From not funding our military properly to letting our national debt go up while serving their own self interest, politicians do what they want without thinking twice about what they are doing to the people they are meant to represent. Now, they have the blood of the twelve individuals who died this morning.

That is due to the fact that they pump millions of funding into other things that aren’t necessary while they don’t protect the people who protect us the most. How is it that the three individuals were able to get into the facility and cause such havoc? The place needed to be better protected, and the fact that the security was not better should tick every American off.  These men and women fought for our freedoms, but our government does not have the common decency to allow them to be safe at home. Instead, they fund special interest groups that get them elected and have no regard for protecting those who make our country safe.

It’s the same thing that happened with Benghazi. Those individuals died because they did not have adequate security because our government did not provide them with it.  Instead, they use the money to go on vacations and get drivers.   It’s sick to think about, but it’s true. Maybe today will be a turning point where the American people say enough is enough, and we can finally start to protect the men and women who protect us the most. If not, I fear like more instances like the one today will occur, and I do not want that.

Comment on Mark Traina and NAAWP

Hey there. I know that it’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I’ve been busy with the goings on of life. Starting this Monday (September 16th), I’m going to try to post on here at least three times a week. I appreciate all of your comments, and I especially like the ones that further the discussion on the blog.  Unfortunately, I have gotten some comments by people who may have some radical views. At first, I did not approve them, but when I set out on the journey of this blog, I decided to give a voice to everyone no matter how radical their views may be.

I am talking specifically about comments left by Mark Traina, who is the head of the NAAWP. The organization, while having some conservative ideals, is a hate group in my opinion, and it shows that we have a lot farther to go in dealing with racism in this country. You could see my apprehension in allowing his comments to be posted on my blog, especially some that include antisemitic remarks, but I ultimately made the decision to approve his comments. This is due to the fact that I know that my readers are smart and can easily fight off any incendiary statements made by Traina.

Also, I feel like we need to know that people like Traina and the NAAWP are out there so that we have a realistic view of what race relations are currently like in this nation, and we can fight harder to find equality for all. Being a Generation X Conservative is about fighting the old school notions of what it means to be a conservative, and Traina certainly shows that we have a way to go in doing this since some last generation conservatives are still around spewing hate and vitriol. If we can do this, I feel like we can go far in getting our party to thrive under a platform of tolerance and acceptance, and drown out the voices of haters like Traina and others.

Get Your Pork This Fall: New Reports Show Social Security Mishap Costs Billions In Tax Payers Money

Here in America, millions of hardworking people rely on social security benefits to get them through their elderly years. Others use their benefits to aid them through health troubles when they cannot work due to medical conditions. While there are obvious problems with the way the social security system works, the fact of the matter is that social security is going to be around for a while. In the meantime, there are things that need to be worked out before the whole reform process can take place.

A recent report by the Social Security Administration showed that they had wrongly paid individuals over one billion dollars in social security or disability money. These individuals either wrongly reported disabilities or the SSA gave them too much money. While they claim that the money is just a small fraction of the money they hand out, the fact of the matter is that one billion dollars is a lot of money, and errors like this just keep our nation debt spiraling out of control.

They don’t care though. They are concerned more with getting their money to give their employees big wages, and they don’t care about what it will cost taxpayers now or in the future. Some conservatives are demanding that this be fixed, but it looks like it is an uphill battle as the SSA is downplaying the situation. This makes sense though since big time bureaucracy was put it place to silence the voice of the people.  It’s just one problem with what’s wrong with the big government way America is being run, and I truly hope that we can fix this problem in the near future.
