ShutDown: Government Comes To A Close Because Obama And Liberals Won’t Budge On Obamacare

Here it is folks. It’s day number two of the federal government’s shutdown, and the sky still hasn’t fallen. In fact, the stock market rose yesterday. While liberals in the media blame all of this on Republicans, I think that most Americans aren’t really affected by the government shutdown in any major way. Yes, they may have had to push back their trips to our national monuments or stay out of D.C., but it hasn’t really had a drastic impact on the lives of every day Americans. Instead, regardless of what the CNN or MSNBC polls say, I think that more Americans will be glad if the government shutdown prevents Obamacare from going into affect.

Just look at the recent clip from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where he took to the streets of Los Angeles to ask people if they liked Obamacare or The Affordable Care Act better (they are the same thing), and, while the people answering the questions were made to look like idiots, the fact of the matter is that they did not want Obamacare to go into affect. The overwhelming reason that they did not want this occurring was because of the socialist mandate in Obamacare that states that everyone has to have health insurance. We live in America, not Russia, and we don’t want to be forced to purchase something by our government. We want to be able to have our rights, and Obamacare strips us of some of our rights.

That’s why, while the liberal media melts down over the government shutdown, I feel that most Americans could give two hoots about whether or not D.C. is open for business or not as long as Obamacare does not go into affect. In fact, I feel that, when all is said and done, Democrats are going to be the ones to blame. They aren’t even open to talking to Republicans to come to a compromise because they are afraid it will cause the insurance companies, who are backing them and Obamacare, to think less of them, and, when all is said and done, cause them to lose money. They can say Obamacare is going to protect Americans from special interest groups, but it does just the opposite. Look at how a lot of the major health care companies’ stocks (those that supported Obama’s health care law) have risen since Obamacare passed because the whole thing was passed by special interests.

Republicans are the ones coming to the table wanting to have a spirited and American debate, but Democrats are the ones saying “NO”. No matter how much Obama and his liberal henchmen want to twist this around in the media, the simple fact is that Obama and liberals are to blame for the government shutdown. Yes, they may have the media sticking up for them saying that they are not the ones to blame, but just because propaganda is put out into the world doesn’t make it true. Just ask anybody who has lived in a dictatorship.

In the meantime, the government remains shutdown, and I have a feeling it won’t be opening for business anytime soon. This does not worry me in the least. Instead, I am relieved that there are people in Washington who don’t want to see our government turned into the next socialist Russia or China. While they are being turned into villains by the media, they are nothing short of true American heroes who are risking the way they are viewed to protect this country for years to come. I applaud them today, and I am wishing you all a happy second day of the government shutdown.

Is It Halloween Already?: Because The IRS Witch-Hunt Of The Tea Party Sure Makes It Feel That Way

Since the Tea Party emerged as a political force to be reckoned with in the first couple of years of Obama’s term, liberals everywhere have had it out for the grassroots movement that took the nation by storm. From the beginning, leftist leaders belittled the party by calling those who participated in the protest against big government “tea baggers”, and from there it just took off. Racism was the next tactic used to try and silence the Tea Party as MSNBC talking heads showed isolated instances of offensive signs at the protests. Then came commentator after commentator spouting their opinion that the Tea Party had grown irrelevant. All of this didn’t stop the Tea Party though. They just became stronger.

(Image Via theweek.com)

Over the next few years they found their voice, and they began to develop one of the biggest political revolutions America has ever seen. Their libertarian views that big government should stay out of the lives of its citizens and that taxes should be low made sense with millions of Americans across the country. Though it may have started out small, they eventually grew into a  political powerhouse that Obama and liberals dreaded. That’s when things just got downright mean and ignorant.

While not much had been said about the Tea Party since Obama’s election in November, they have become  the hot talk of the town this weekend when it was revealed that the IRS took an extra careful look at the Tea Party’s taxes. At first, the rumors were widely made fun of by liberals, but when the IRS finally fessed up to doing such a scandalous thing, they were soon put in their place. A witch-hunt against the Tea Party had taken place, and it finally gave conservatives proof that Obama and his administration will do anything to target those who disagree with their socialist, big government policies.

Conservatives in D.C. called for hearing to see just how down and dirty the Obama administration and the IRS had gotten when it came to targeting the Tea Party. Meanwhile, liberals in the media tried to downplay the story every chance that they got. After all, the IRS apologized, and the Tea Party is nothing but a bunch of loons to the liberal media anyway. It was grossly unfair to give such a big story such a little coverage, but it happens every day in the world of the liberal media.

That’s where we have a chance to do something conservatives. In this day and age of social media, we are able to give a voice to the causes we care about most. So tweet, Facebook, and Instagram the causes that are most important to you. For the voice of one thousand ordinary citizens can drown out the lies and deceit that one influential citizen may spew.

Obamacare And The Elderly People I Know: Let’s Just Say It Ain’t That Great

Since Obamacare has been passed, America’s traditional values have taken a beating. First and foremost, the fact that everyone is forced to buy health care coverage by Dictator Obama is one of the biggest losses of Americans’ freedoms in years. We are supposed to have individual liberties as Americans’, but we are instead being forced to purchase spoiled goods in order for the government to give health care to illegal immigrants and those who do not give one iota whether or not their getting free health care could take food off the tables of other Americans. It is a dark day for us, but the fact is that I hope more and more Americans will realize just how messed up the health care law is after I share this story with them.

(Image Via beforeitsnews.com)

My grandmother is 83, soon to be 84, and she relies on medicaid for her prescriptions since my grandfather passed away. She spent her life working hard taking care of my mom and her siblings while also farming chickens. She is a stand-up kind of woman, and she lives every day to the fullest even though she has arthritis. Living on a fixed income, she sometimes worries about how she will afford her medication, and Obamacare made her worry even more about this.

Last year, she payed about thirty dollars per medication after medicare. This was reasonable for her, and she didn’t complain about it. Come January though, the price for her prescriptions doubled after a portion of Obamacare went into affect. She now has to cut back on other things just to afford her prescriptions. While it affects her, this is most certainly not the only instance that this occurs, and it can happen to anyone out there.

It makes sense that if you are beginning to cover a larger swath of people’s health care for free, that those who do their share will have to pay more. For instance, if twice as many people are receiving medication, many for free, those who are paying for their prescriptions will have to pay twice as much to cover the costs of the individuals who aren’t paying their share. It’s socialism at its worst, and it will just get worse Obamacare becomes a scary reality in our country.

It may be a scary reality, but there still is hope. If we vote for conservatives in upcoming elections, we may just garner enough votes to override Obamacare. It may seem unlikely that this will happen, but those who we cherish most in our society deserve better than what they are getting. We need to raise our voice so we can give the elderly, disabled, and those in need a chance at life. In turn, future generations will also have the opportunity to live in a society of freedom.  We can continue a legacy of democracy, not socialism, for future generations, but first we need to get the courage to do so.

We Want Our Big Gulps,Sodas And Krispy Kremes: What’s Wrong With That?

Michelle Obama and Michael Bloomberg are on a rampage. They want the government to interfere with the lives of U.S. citizens in one of the most intrusive ways possible. From trying to ban soda to dictating what our kids should eat, they are attacking our most basic rights. They are attacking our diets, and they have no business doing such a thing.

(Image Via legacy.utsandiego.com)

As Michelle Obama announced her platform  to end childhood obesity in 2008, no one knew the lengths that she would go to promote her cause. From promoting a tax on not so healthy foods to talking trash about soda, she has been in a full swing mode of trying to take away the simple pleasures that Americans enjoy. In New York, where officials have been trying to ban soda, the madness continues, and it shows the sad state of our government.

The fact is, Americans deserve to have a little bit of joy in their lives in these tough economic times. With job loss and money issues affecting most in the middle class, I believe that it is fundamental that Americans get to unwind, and I say that if Krispy Kreme is involved in that, so be it. Those in the government don’t see that though. They simply see how much power that they control, and they could care less who is affected by that.

For decades now, the middle class has been left to fend for themselves, and it has gotten much worse since Obama has come into office. With Obama’s love of socialism, it’s no surprise that Michelle also feels like she should limit what Americans do. Michael Bloomberg, the power hungry rich man, also is most likely trying to ban soda in NYC to get a kick out of getting more power.

Luckily, we have some conservatives who are here to stand up for our rights to eat what we please. One of those stand up politicians is Sarah Palin, who made a big statement for American freedoms to eat and drink what we choose when she slurped down a big gulp at CPAC earlier this year. She and others like her are what we need more of in America. We have rights, and the government should not try to take away our rights to do this. So I say cheers to those who stand up for our rights and up to the government even when they are part of that government. That cheers, of course, is with a big gulp in one hand a doughnut in another.

Activist Judge And The FDA Make It Easier For Young Girls To Take The “Morning After” Abortion Pill

The United State Food and Drug Administration have once again stood up for the rights of women to terminate their unwanted children. This decision happened after a judge stated that he did not believe it was right for girls under the age of 17 to have to have a prescription for the “morning after” pill. He also stated that he thought that whoever wanted to take the Plan B pill should be able to do so without a prescription.  The Obama administration jumped on board the bandwagon today and stated that girls 15 and older should be able to get their hands on the pill without a prescription because it violated their rights. This is a travesty to the American justice system, and it takes away the rights of parents to raise their children the way that they see fit.

This ad is out of date. Now girls 15, not 17, and older don’t need a prescription. Another violation of parental rights and American liberties.
(Image Via planbonestep.com)

Since Roe vs. Wade, the nation has grown more and more supportive of the “right” of women to end the life of their children. It’s no coincidence that activist judges had to overturn the country’s ban on abortion, as most at the time did not support such a measure. Now, years down the road, this is another ruling that gives those who want to take away American citizens’ freedoms and the lives of unborn children more legitimacy than they need. Instead, they need to be told that terminating pregnancies means ending lives, and they should be a heck of  lot more thoughtful before making the decision to end the life of an unborn human being.

That’s not what’s happening though. Obama’s administration has made it so that young girls can buy the “morning after” abortion pill with the ease it takes to buy chewing gum or T-shirts. Additionally, lowering the age from 17 years to 15 years for a girl to be eligible to purchase the pill without a prescription infringes on the rights of their parents. What if, for instance, a girl’s mother did not support abortion due to her religious beliefs? Under the new ruling, the beliefs of the mother would not matter as it would be up to the girl, who could be as young as fifteen, to decide whether or not she wants to terminate her pregnancy. It is a sick violation of parental rights, and it shows just how much of an abortion lover Obama and his administration are.

Some of you may think that I am being a bit too harsh. I don’t think so. While you may argue that the “morning after” pill does not constitute abortion, that is not the main issue that I have with this ruling. The fact is,  parents should be able to tell their children what to do, and they should not have the federal government sending their kids mixed messages. Growing up,  my parents instilled values and morals in me and my siblings, and this helped us become the people we are today. Unfortunately, the next generation will have the government telling them that their parents’ opinions don’t matter, and this could lead to a generation full of spoiled, bratty kids the likes of which the world has not seen.

So let’s petition conservatives and those who believe that parents should be able to educate their children the way they see fit. Let’s write letters to the FDA and Judge Edward Korman and let them know that violating the rights of U.S. citizens is not what they were put in office to do. They were given their positions to protect our rights not take them away, but they are doing exactly that. So let’s stand up peacefully for ourselves so that the next generation of Americans won’t have less rights than we have.

He Saw The Light?:Obama’s Budget Makes Liberals Angry As It Involves Cuts In Entitlements

This week is bound to be a crazy week in D.C. as a lot of important issues are going to be put to the table. One of the biggest conundrums that Obama faces is putting forth a budget that he feels will help the American people prosper over the next few years. Rumors have it, Obama’s budget will include cutting certain fundamental liberal programs such as social security and medicare. Of course, there are conditions to Obama pushing for these cuts, and they include Republicans trying to cater to his every other wish and desire  as the budget is crafted.

(Image Via businessinsider.com)

While all of this Capitol Hill gossip has been going on in the last few days, liberals in the media have been freaking out and throwing a fit that Obama has abandoned the liberal agenda. Articles on Salon, The Huffington Post, and MSNBC’s website have all lamented President Obama’s bill as a betrayal of the liberal ideals that he ran on last year. To me, I think that Obama is possibly realizing that he has hurt a lot of Americans financially by trying to play by the rules of leftist media entities and trying to make a change for the better. While I see more than a few things in Obama’s budget that I have strong disagreements with as a conservative, I will say that this proposal, if it is the proposal that gets put forward,is a sign that Obama may have seen the light when it comes to a way in which we can truly fix the ailing American economy. This would be cutting entitlement programs.

To myself and millions of other Americans, entitlement programs are of the biggest killers of a truly capitalist economy.Yes, I think that there should be safety nets put in place to protect the most vulnerable in society, but Obama has recently taken what was intentionally supposed to provide support for impoverished Americans and turned the U.S.A. into an extremist welfare state. From implementing his socialistic Obamacare program to extending unemployment benefits, Obama has tried his best to cement Americans’ independence on the government. While, I think that Obamacare should be repealed long before cuts to medicare and social security are made, the simple fact is that this he is never going to get behind repealing a bill that was the landmark legislation of his administration. That’s why he has his eye on medicare and social security, and I think that making Americans less dependent on these programs is a good thing.

(Image Via politico.com)

Yes, medicare and social security were supposed to provide protection for retirees when they were originally introduced, but they have been proven to not be feasible over the last few years. That’s why they need to be reformed. Cutting funding to these programs, which simply don’t work, will cause leaders on Capitol Hill to try to find a better solution to the problem of how to help retirees in this country, and this will help future Americans be able to live more comfortably in the future. Yes, many people may think that this will hurt the elderly who currently live in the U.S.A., but this is simply not true. The way that these cuts will be made happens gradually over time, and it will allow those who are reliant on these programs to have a safety net. This, while controversial, must be done, and I have to give Obama some props for proposing such a controversial piece of legislation.

But why now you ask? Why would Obama make such a bold move and risk losing his support from the left? There are a few reasons that come to mind. The first, less likely reason, is that this is his last term and he realizes that he does not have to pander anymore. Due to the fact that he’s probably going to go into the book writing business after, this is probably not the reason, but you never know. The more likely reason, to me, is that Obama knows that we will probably go to war with North Korea in the future. If this happens, we will need to funnel our resources into efforts in that country, and extending ourselves by allowing the unsuccessful entitlement programs in this country to continue will take away from protecting ourselves and our allies. While you may think this is an extremist way of thinking, I truly believe that this could be the main reason that Obama has proposed one of his most conservative budgets to date.

No matter what the reason, I would like to reiterate that Obama gets kudos in my book for presenting such a risky plan. While I disagree with other things in the budget, it is brave of him to finally do what he thinks is best for the American people. Some of you may never say a nice word about Obama, but I am the type of person who give credit where credit is due. That’s why I am commending him on presenting this new budget and hoping that he uses this as a stepping stone to embrace more conservative ideals in his policies. When that day comes, maybe he can help America truly heal from the wounds that his administration has caused.
